Southern Tennessee, northern Alabama, 1894 Plate CXLIX, Atlas to Accompany the Official Records of the Union & Confederate Armies, published 1891-95. The atlas was significant as a record of the Civil War and as one of the first examples of mapping of specific areas in the United States.
This one shows the area north from the Loosapalila River on the west to Hebron on the east and extends north to Murfreesborough, Tennessee on the north. There is much detail from tiny towns and creeks to rivers and railroads. The image size is 27 x 16 inches.
