This is a fairly first edition by Alfred M. Waddell who was a US representative from NC and mayor of Wilmington. The book describes the years of the Civil War in that city. The book is in good condition in the original green cloth with gold lettering. It was published in Raleigh by the Edwards and Broughton Printing Company in 1908. It has 249 pages including the index.
